Work in progress

This cross stitch has been occupying all my evenings since I finished my lockdown poncho. I am not really much of a one for embroidery, so must have been having some kind of brain fog event when I decided in December to get a cross stitch of one of Mr B’s favourite pictures and make him a cushion. The idea, of course, was that it would be a surprise: I could work on it when he was in London. So that didn’t work out so well.

Two months (nearly) in and, squinting to blur out the bits I’ve missed, I’ve done about 40%. Maybe next year’s wedding anniversary?

Today was rainy then dry and sunny, so I took advantage of having an hour in the garden at the end of the day. Busy morning, but the afternoon was so quiet that I sent myself a test email to make sure the internet was still a thing.

Two months of rain fell on Monday in the Tarn, apparently, so I guess we got off lightly with just a soggy garden and three wet hens.

And I learned how to pronounce oximeter.
