Can't believe this morning was even colder than yesterday with a thicker layer of frost on Ros' car. When I saw Double Dog she said 'she could set her clock on me' . I think she actually meant 'by' me so I said that's fine as long as you don't set your dogs on me. Whether she thought my comment was funny I don't know as I was long gone to hear any reply.
The rest of the day was warm enough with not too much wind to finish off the top coating of the Betnley but it was jolly cold out of the sun. I then sprayed the dashboard and tryed to use my airbrush just to touch up a couple of small areas but unfortunately the tiny valve which regulates the air flow was not working properly so I tried to fix it without success and ended up buying a new valve off the web.
So at the end of the day all the topcoat is done and tomorrow I will flat the whole car off ready for the final lacquer coat which I will spray when we get a good spraying day.
In the evening we had our monthly hilarious Austin Ten Drivers Club Skype Meeting. Like last month there were five attendees and with a little help from Natalie Ian's daughter we were all up and talking in less than ten minutes as opposed to last month which took a good hour before we could talk to the organiser Roger. Still we all had a good chat for a couple of hours and even Ros thought it was just like being at the pub as we all talked cars with drinks in hand.
Who knows next month fingers crossed we might be able to drive our cars to someone's house for a social distancing drink.
