Walking the dog

The weather here, so far, has been better this week than I feared it would be. It has been cold but not too cold and the winds which started blowing on Sunday seem to have died down. They reached their peak early on Sunday afternoon and the only casualty was our cherry tree which was blown over. That was surprising as it sits in a very large pot and is quite heavy to move. Luckily it fell across a bed of chicory which softened its fall so it doesn't even seem to have lost any baby cherries..... and last night's forecast said that warm weather should be returning for the weekend so I'm keeping  my fingers crossed for that.
