There for you
The first time I spread my wings when cocooning restrictions were relaxed a little bit I wasn't able to spend time in St Anne's Park because it was impossible to park the car near any of the entrances. Fortunately, it was different today and I spotted a space close to the main gates. The weather was back to its sunny best after yesterday's chilliness, and I thoroughly enjoyed stretching my legs for half an hour or so. We really are blessed to have this wonderful amenity so close to home (easily within the permitted 5km radius).
Don't get me wrong. It's been terrific sitting in the garden in front of my house for so many of these cooped-up days, but the change of scenery was very welcome today and I revelled in it. This poster was fixed to the main gates (posters actually; one in each language). I wasn't aware that we cocooners are intended to have the parks to ourselves between 1:30 and 3:30. It was four o'clock by the time I got there, and there were people of all ages making the most of the wonderful wide open spaces.
