LOCK DOWN – DAY 49
Seven weeks in lock down and in Scotland we still are. In lock down. The message from Nicola is 'stay home'. Here in Scotland we know what we have to do. Stay home. Simples! What an absolute shambles in England. Did anyone even understand a word of what Boris was saying last night?
Anyway continuing on with our 'walking on golf courses' project. Today we went to Liberton Golf Course and just look who we met; our friend Fiona (see extras), who just so happens to be the Lady Captain, so we had a social distancing walk around the course and she took this photo of the two of us together.
And as a lot of you know; we rent out our house in Cornwall to holiday makers. Obviously all the May bookings have been cancelled and as of yesterday the June bookings have started to be cancelled too which is only to be expected. But then we had a couple of people today who wanted to book for the beginning of June. Obviously we want to start taking bookings ASAP because we have no income coming in and my treats are running low but not if it's risking lives. So Ann replied saying she was happy to take the booking on the understanding that if the restrictions hadn't been lifted by then (which we're pretty sure they won't have been), the booking would be cancelled & the visitor would get a full refund. They replied asking if they could 'do it off the record'??!! …..............Just what planet are these people on? Ann sent them a very curt message back which read, 'Absolutely not. I don't want to be responsible for anyone losing their life.' And she replied within the hour so she should still keep her super-host status. Lol.
However this poses another question. My human could have made a lot of money out of these people but morally she didn't think it was right. Having said that; we're pretty sure they'll find somewhere to book for their 2 week holiday in Cornwall at the beginning of June.
Anyway BLIP probably isn't the place to be ranting about all this stuff. All you lovely Blippers need to know is; I had a lovely long walk today and now I'm very, very tired!
