No pastries! (Day 56)

Sunny morning spent in the front garden, with a couple of passers by - one was lured in for a socially distanced coffee (Extra 1) and one stayed at the gate, as she was on her bike. I’m surrounded by fit people.

We then walked over the Links to the French bakery, but - alas - it was out of bread, and - even more alas - no pastries left. We need to be earlier.

We started to walk up the road, possibly to check out some of the other cafes, but Archie - the wee monkey - just sat down and refused to move. He did NOT want to go that way - he wanted to go back over to the grass. There is actually nothing much you can do but comply with his wishes (while quietly cursing). You can’t drag him, you can’t carry him (though JR did for a few steps, Extra 2) - he wins. And he rolled in the grass triumphantly as we walked his preferred route. Actually, the others walked further on to the Meadows, and I came home.

JR has successfully ordered online a ‘Click and Collect’ at Sainsbury’s. Great.

What’s he looking at? (Extra 3)

Main blip by JR, obvs.
