Remembering Ireland

Dear Diary,

On this day last year the Irish Rovers (the name we gave our group) arrived at Shannon Airport to begin our grand Irish adventure.  I've been sitting with the two books I made of the photographs from the trip the last few days, reliving every wonderful moment.  What glorious weather we had, what a companionable group we were and what a difference a year makes.  I took the group to Doolin to celebrate my 70th birthday.  This year's birthday will be celebrated in isolation.  Still, I have these books to remind me of those happy days and those days will come again, eventually, for all of us.
