Lacking in frivolity

A photo snatched on my walk with Merlin.  The day was warm and sunny.  It started with getting up for Merlin at 7.30 (he wakes at 6.30 but we make him wait until a more civilised time before we get up), then we had breakfast and I did an online Pilates class. This was followed by a day of sorting things in the garden - restocking the wood in the log store and cutting the hedge.  Around we could hear socially distanced tea parties taking place in the streets with 1940s music and even the sound of an air raid siren going off intermittently!  My nephew and niece have apparently made afternoon tea using recipes from the '40s and they are finishing off the day with corn beef  hash.  No such frivolities here!  Hoping your day has gone well.
