Aqualegia Vulgaris

Awake just after 8......up just after 9 and out just before 11. Breakfast in the garden, then a couple of things to package up to return, via the Post Office.

Another sunny day, warm enough for shorts. We had a nice walk into town, Post Office was pretty quiet, hub went for his paper, then we met up again to walk back. The usual coffee on our return, hub read & I took some photos
of a couple of outfits I am going to sell hopefully, on Ebay. Todays blip is one of several varieties of aqualegias we have in the garden, ranging from the darkest purple, to this burgundy one, to pale pink & white. All equally lovely........

Fried eggs on brown toast for lunch today.

We cleared a bit more gardening stuff out of the garage this afternoon......lots of half full bags of various types of compost, some with holes in, courtesy of a mouse I think! We mixed it all together and tipped it into the flower beds ;-)

The weather clouded over late afternoon and we had a brief shower......I came indoors to prep dinner. Spanish Pork, Chorizo & butter bean casserole. I did some hasselback potatoes in the oven to go with it & some steamed sugarsnap peas. It is a Simon Rimmer recipe, so nice!!

Back outside, the sun was out again, so I had an hour reading whilst hub watched the daily update.

After dinner we were all at our front doors clapping at 8pm........then it was on to a zoom session with some friends, which was a good laugh!!

Finally a proper relax & chill.......not really watched much tonight, other than an episode of First Dates. Just having a nightcap now.

A busy day lined up tomorrow VE Day celebrations in our Drive, with distancing obviously.
