Christmas Markets in Wenceslas Square

Basically, Andrea and I have ranked our Christmas markets as follows...

Best: Frankfurt
2nd: Prague/Brussels

Brussels and Prague had good NON market shopping, shops, department stores etc but the Christmas markets themselves were lacking. Frankfurt was just brilliant - and big! Next year, it will be back to Germany - we think the aim to do a different country every year has proven pointless. The Germans just do it better!

Also, spending Euros is far less complicated than spending Crowns. Crowns to Dirhams, to Pounds, to Dollars, to Euros (Math was always my worst subject in school) gets a bit tiring. Also - once you've paid 900crowns for a taxi ride that cost 300 the day before, you start to get a bad taste in your mouth!

Still, as this picture shows, they didn't go cheap on decorations and lights in Prague. We both agreed that we got our money's worth in Christmas spirit, and as we were walking through the Jewish Quarter and the snow started coming down - we both did one of those little lame girly squeals (like teenagers do when they haven't seen eachother over the summer) and got plenty of stares. (the two Canadian tourists acting like they'd never seen snow before!)
