Rhododendron

An unfurling blossom. I reached up into the rhododendron that grows against our chimney, much taller than I am. Very few of the buds show any sign of opening, but that will change after a warm day or two. It's happy on the northeast side of our house, out of the sun for most of the day and protected from the wind. 

An indoors day, apart from a trip to the post office to mail Mother's Day cards. W.'s mom lives in Tennessee and mine in Washington, and it's been months since we've seen them in person. FaceTime has been a good thing even before this pandemic.
