Woodland delight

After removing the bottom sash window and applying the paint stripper I hit the road. It was ideal conditions for a bike ride although I had to dodge the tree fellers who were working on a roadside tree. 

This afternoon we took Jet out and enjoyed a physically distant chat with ex colleague George and wife Jean. Met Mr and Mrs Pheasant who were out for a walk in the field.  As we followed the path uphill we encountered this wonderful sight.

The extra was taken at lunch time. I looked out to find this blackbird on its side in an old paint tray I was using to pot up some plants. Initially I was rather worried but I think it was enjoying the soft warm soil. It soon scarpered when I got to the door. Just made me smile.
