Birds moving house
Well in the latest, fascinating chat about what the birds of Bottom's Reservoir are doing: the Greater Crested Grebes are back on their old nest after the coots have made it higher for them and the coots are now doing up the other nest they started. Poor coots.
We took the binoculars out with us today. It was brilliant to be able to see the top of Teggs Nose and the other side of Bottom's. We saw people sitting by the Library in the Landscape on Teggs, when before we were guessing that it was the library and a juevenile Heron fishing on in the far corner on Teggs.
I got quite a lot of work done. The kids had too much screen time. J was very floppy and didn't do any school work - that's his first day of doing nothing, but he will be back on it tomorrow.
Johnson said during PM Question time that there would be some easing of lockdown on Monday, to be announced on Sunday - which I think will just encourage people to ease as they see fit over the bank holiday weekend. The Bank Holiday is on Friday for VE days' 75th Anniversary. I distinctly remember sitting in a pub in Wellingborough for the 50th anniversary, which was also celebrated on a Friday.
