Swifts screeching overhead

There were, but they are far too fast to be photographed.  The clue is in the name.  However I did get this rather fine image of the telephone wire against the azure sky.

I have to support our local CAMRA cider pub of the year which is doing a click and collect service.  We shared a refreshing glass or two whilst sitting in the evening sun watching out for the swifts.
