Entertainment
I saw so many things to entertain people on my walk today. The Japanese children were out on their back road with their chalks drawing a complicated game involving Hop Scotch and sprinting, a stone painted with a heart rainbow by the Arts Chapel, the usual literary quote posters that are appearing everywhere in the village plus the spooky occult/Masonic posters which are obviously a hoax. I shall blip these at some point! Once in the woods there were more posters, the swing had been refurbished and there were these Pooh sticks by the bridge over the stream! I just love the fact that Hop Scotch and Pooh Sticks are still being played!
It was a sociable walk too - I met the couple who are renovating the Vicarage, with their aggressive cocklepoodle, The Exile on her run with Ginger, The Town Planner with her little dog Scout that Ginger savaged a couple of weeks ago, The Architects with their dog Ted on one of their marathon walks and finally The Dog lovers who now live in the big new house I mentioned yesterday! I had a chat with them all and Oscar played with all the dogs!
The only low point was discovering the squash seeds I had resown had all been eaten - either by mice or rats! The only squash seeds I had left to sow for the third time were courgettes and Red Kuri - if they don't take I shall give up on squash this year!
