Calstock Together
The day started early with Oscar doing the classic Berger pounce on me whilst I lay in bed! Both front paws on my body - over 31kg of weight! He then made sure I got up by pulling the duvet cover off me! Well I had 2 Sourdoughs to bake and deliver so guess an early start of 6.30 was ok!
The first bread drop off was to The Potter - I left it on her kitchen counter and gave Otto The Weinmarana a doggie treat! Next stop was Nellie of the Woods with the other sourdough and some rhubarb from my allotment! We had a good chat and a great laugh which was so good!
On the way home we met a bloke in the woods who stopped when he saw us - I had intended doing the short walk home but as he was going in that direction I decided on the longer one - however Oscar decided he looked dodgy and began growling at him! I wasn't sure why, thought maybe Oscar was picking up on his nervousness, or was worried by the orange bag he was carrying. Then I realised it was because he was stood still - people in the woods are usually walking - not standing! Dear Oscar defending me!
Come the afternoon I received delivery of this Linocut from The Limekiln gallery Owner. She had made it to " celebrate this great place and to remember" It is one of 20 and I got number 14. It should have been 13 but she had asked if I was superstitious, I'm not usually but under the circumstances we find ourselves in decided not to tempt fate!
