Scooter ride

Today has been a tough one for (not so) little one. He has been anxious and unfocussed all day. As those with learning disabilities and autism can go out in a car to somewhere quiet we decided it would be good for both of ours to go somewhere not too far away but good for a scooter ride.

Sadly it didnt really help and we came across quite a few people, at which point his anxiety triggered some very noticeable Tourette's tics. Lots of very loud coughs. Obviously that's not something you want to see in the middle of a covid pandemic and he just couldn't stop himself. Everytime someone walked past he did it again. They weren't real coughs but strangers don't know that. It was awful.

So stressful.

I am clinging onto the thought that tomorrow will be better.
