Neighbours
A rude awakening (yes I was asleep but there was no need to be up early) at 7.15. Our neighbours build continues... today was concrete pouring day. No text or warning from the owner/developer to say that 7 loads of concrete and 6 hours of a horn blowing every time they started or stopped pumping concrete. Our driveway was blocked for 6 hours.. the footpath was blocked for 6 hours, about 20 people turned up to work... two had masks. No social distancing and at the end of it the pump had to be cleaned down. .. over a small privately owned open road drain that goes into a soakaway. Without this drain our house floods.. even sometimes with this drain (if it is blocked) we end up with a huge puddle of water outside the house... today we have to contend with a river of slurry on the gravelled area... It is now full of slurry and concrete lumps. I hate builders... and this is just the start. As well as 7 loads of concrete they had two huge deliveries which were dumped on another house entrance driveway...blocking them in as well. All of this was happening right outside the house of someone who is vulnerable and shielding... she has been in a panic all day. Not a word from the owner... l think a complaint may have to be made... parish council? council? Environmental services to do with health and safety? Who knows.. it has been quite a day.. and now this lovely white lilac is covered in concrete spray.
Things to be glad about..
It isn't my garden all that concrete spray off is landing on
That l spring cleaned my bedroom
I spent some time painting in the afternoon
the sun shone
Flossie didn't bark every time the horn sounded or the men walked past the garden gate
a cup of tea and a biscuit...
and that was tuesday .. day 51 of lockdown
Had trouble uploading the photo... so ended up having to take a photo of the photo on the screen... it's ok Tuesday is nearly over...
