Saltdean by the Sea

Lockdown Day 41

We walked down to the coast with the dogs this morning and did a full circuit passing the house with Ted, today he was dressed in a jujitsu costume.  The guy was in his garden so we had a chat and I said how much I enjoy passing daily and that I send the photos to my granddaughter.  I asked how they have so many ideas and he said it's actually quite easy and other people give them suggestions and have even dropped outfits off for him.

When we were nearly home, I left Alan and the boys and I went for a walk in the fields with my camera - the boys were tired and Alan wanted to carry on working on Bertie bus.  I walked over the Tye to the stud farm and back round, and instead of walking round the field, I decided to walk down the tractor tracks through the field back home. In the past I've blipped our view from the garden, but never the view from the top of the field looking back down on Saltdean and the sea - our house is to the left of this photo.

This afternoon I've mowed the grass and then sat and made a couple of face masks using Elif's video that I posted the other day.  I bought a pair of kids combat trousers to make Alan's, they were reduced in Sainsbury's, so I could the fabric to size and made a triple layer using a cotton handkerchief for the inner two layers.  I don't have a sewing machine so it was all hand sewn and very easy to do, and I found it very therapeutic sat in the Palace listening to music.

Tonight we had a Thai delivery from a local guy who makes them at home, he has one of the vintage Citroen vans and has been doing this for a couple of years at the weekends and attends events with his Thai kitchen.  We had beef panang with jasmine rice, it was delicious and so nice not to have to cook!

Later I had a group video chat with Chrissy, Alison and Barbs, we all had a glass of wine, so it was a nice social catch up.

Hope you've all had a good day!
