Poos of the Day

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

You will be happy to hear that Caro is feeling much better today. She says it feels like she's had a decent abdominal workout (which, technically, she has) but that the stabby pains have receded.

Nevertheless, she has continued resting and, really, she hasn't had much choice in the matter anyway. As you can see from the picture, the rain has been extremely heavy all day. Jasper is staring out at it, grumpy because he doesn't like being out in rain. 

In fact, he got caught in a downpour earlier on and his annoyance was plain to see. Instead of calling gently and pawing to be let back in, he LEAPT at the back door, as if trying to push it open himself. Poor little chap.

As you know, I love the rain, and I've enjoyed listening to it pattering outside. It has been very relaxing and was interrupted only by a call from Macca, wanting to know how Caro was feeling. 

"Well my big news is that I did a poo today," said Caro, proudly. She's been kind of concerned about this, since the surgeon was fiddling around down there, messing with her colon.

"It was a good one too."

It's possible that Macca was getting more information than she had intended. 

And now, so are you. But you can't say that the title wasn't a bit of a hint as to where today's entry was going.

p.s. We watched the film Dark Waters about pollution. It starts with just one farmer complaining about his cows dying and ends with the conclusion that 99% of people on the planet have been poisoned by the DuPont corporation. Cheery viewing.
