Da Hawthorn

A cold morning, with showers.  It warmed slightly in the afternoon, when the sun was out.  A fairly dull, but dry evening.

Day one of my holidays, I have 10 days off work.  I was meant to be in Cyprus right now, and work still wanted me to use some of my holidays while in lockdown.  Well there's no where to go, so a holiday around the house.  It's been a busy day in the garden, and laying the decking.  Brian and Madeline spoke over the fence, mam and dad later spoke over the fence, after being at the pharmacy, and then friend Julie and Keba spoke over the fence.  Walkies with Sammy after tea, and now feet up by the fire.

The garden is slowly starting to spring into life, and green leaves on most plants now.  Along with this, the Hawthorn tree is making a comeback too.  The lower parts of the trunk are rotting, but it still keeps going.  Another month, and the lovely peerie flowers will be in bloom, and their glorious smell.  Taken at home, Houl Road, Scalloway.
