Blossom
A longish walk today - 10km, or six miles in old money - up the steep hill that is Station Road (aka Doctor's Brae) to join Myothill Road (see extra), one of the many country roads above Denny, and then across to Little Denny Reservoir from where I then followed another road into Denny itself.
My original intention when I set out was just to return home via the main road from there, but I took a notion to walk into town and see if the wee avenue next to Denny Town House still had its blossom. It's almost an essential Blip for me most years in addition to the blossom in Bonnybridge (I posted that a few days ago) and I wasn't disappointed, despite the fact that it started to rain just as I arrived.
A few shots taken and ticked off my list and then it was about a 45-minute walk from there back home. Thankfully the rain didn't last long. Another trip later in the afternoon for some groceries, but that was a 15-minutes each-way wander up to Haggs. A lazy night in is now on the agenda.
