Not the Tour de Yorkshire

The Tour de Yorkshire Cycle Race should have started today with Stage 1 of the Men's Race from Beverley to Redcar but of course it has been cancelled.  We would have been deciding where to go and enjoy that few seconds of adrenalin as the riders whizzed by and then watching it on television, but instead I have to be content with decorating my window TDY style for the Neighbourhood Window Walk.

I am expecting another delivery this morning so rushed upstairs when there was a knock on the door, to discover a bunch of flowers on the doorstep!  Our WhatsApp group has proved invaluable during the lockdown for everything from shopping to jokes to savlon cream to paint to just plain moral support.  Neighbours with young children have been homeschooling and filling the extra hours with wonderful creative ideas, hence the shout out for paint.  Several of us dug out pots and left them out for collection and we are looking forward to seeing photos of the resulting flower pictures (made with painted pebbles) when they are finished.  Those flowers have made my day, thank you J, G, E and W!

Meanwhile Tony is out on the supermarket run so it will be all systems go on his return.  I never worried about him going shopping before......
