Adventures in Quarantine

It was a sunny Sunday and we broke free! We went for a properly long walk in these quarantine times and it felt great!

We headed away from the river and into the east end. It was a fascinating day. We came across the statues of William and Catherine Booth, the founders of the Salvation Army. Nearby was a mural by Mychael Barratt. The link helpfully provides the clue to all the characters. Nearby was the lovely couple of today’s blip. We fell into conversation with them from a good 3 metres away. This fabulous woman offered us ice cream. How could she know of my deep, abiding love of ice cream? I didn’t want to deplete her freezer so we politely declined.

We then wandered over to Brick Lane where the extras were found. We also found an ice cream shop and turned it down, too. Fear not, dear reader. I knew we had ice cream at home.

We had a right good meander and it felt so good to be almost care free.
