Sensory overload
This morning I did a shift with the Food Hub, doing a food share at a local school to try and get food out to families. It was the most human contact I’ve had for five weeks and it was so good! It was so lovely to chat to and get to know some of the other volunteers and catch up with one familiar face. And then to chat to a steady flow of families coming through. Though the situation itself is hideous, and food poverty should never be a thing, it was so nice to chat to families today. It felt weirdly normal driving home, easy to imagine that the last five weeks hadn’t happened and I was just coming home from a normal day at work. It did feel weird to be home afterwards though.
While I was video chatting with sakalasafari today, resting my phone on the windowsill, I saw a ladybird do a big yellow poo and then promptly turn around and eat it.
Bit of work this afternoon and then a zoom call with the uni gang this evening.
