My corona companion

Oh, how I love this little bike and oh, what a lifeline it’s been over the last few weeks. The daily exercise of walking and running is welcome, but both activities only really take you a few miles from home, if you stick to the government’s guidelines. Take your daily constitutional on a bike, however, and a whole new horizon opens up. I’m trying to be safe and sensible about the miles I ride and the distance from home I meander but today I rode out to Welshpool and then back, passing by the parents house on the way back for a (socially distanced) greeting. I stopped at this canal towpath, just outside of Welshpool, which they’ve been really good at opening up and tidying up over the past years. I also passed a Primary School up near Trewern which sticks in my mind as the place where I became the inter-primary school high jump champion in approximately 1994.
