Flying High

Out on a bike ride this morning. Beautiful start to the day. Startled a deer and a hare and accompanied by Yellowhammers. The route took me around the Vale of Pickering.

Spotted a camper van parked at the top of my first ascent. It appeared to have turned a narrow strip of verge into a garden. Will be interesting if the farmer needs access to his field. Maybe a photo for another day.

Home and managed to undercoat the garage window. Then checking Stephen’s road bike over. Just as well as the tyre valve snapped when I tried to pump up the tyres. So a change of inner tube required. Other than that it appeared to be in good fettle.

The afternoon clouded in and also cooled down. Jet managed his walk without jumping in to the stream.  Despite being quiet when we set off as we emerged from the wood it was much busier. Thank goodness there was plenty of room to pass at a safe distance.

The flag was flying at the edge of Pickering and whist I had to wait for it to unfurl in the breeze it just had to be today’s blip.
