A change in the weather?
On and on goes the good weather! There are various forecasts of rain - some say tomorrow, some Wednesday, some Friday. It looks as if we'll be getting rain of some sort during the next week. I suppose we need it, but it will be a pity when we can't sit out on the deck and roast!
There was a strange low bank of cloud out behind the islands this afternoon, gradually rising, then eventually beginning to disperse. It was almost like some mysterious weather front rolling in, or maybe a bank of poison gas, depending on one's imagination! You can see it in this picture taken under one of the cherry trees outside the Corran Halls.
I walked out on to the Oban Times slipway to take my extra picture today. From left to right - Alexandra Place, the Oban Times Building, the new, art deco part of the Regent Hotel, built in 1936 on what used to be the garden of Mr McCaig's house and the old part of the same hotel, built in 1986 by said McCaig as The Marine, a Temperance Hotel. I don't think it caught on!
