Rascal again
I've blipped this little deer before. He is the runt of a litter born late in the summer. Throughout the winter, a small group of animal lovers has been watching out for him on a daily basis to make sure he gets enough food. He's the one the ranger scolded us for feeding back in January, but people (including my husband) still feed him. Now that the snow has melted and the deer are able to forage for their own food, we don't see him as much. When we went to the park at about 5 p.m. today, he was there, and Bob tossed him some pieces of apple. We're a little concerned because he seems to have a swelling on the left side of his face, and he looks a little scruffier than usual. Maybe we're too soft hearted, but we just want to see him make it through the winter.
