Very scary Scarecrow!

The grass seed is down so the girls and I made a scarecrow to hopefully stop the birds from eating it all! It is definitely scary, especially with its halloween wig of hair! It made us laugh. John made the frame and me and the girls made the head out of an old petticoat stuffed with plastic carrier bags and tied at the ears with hair bobbles. It has two mouths because the girls argued over who would colour in the mouth, so they both did.

I popped into preschool for an hour today as I had to help the finance manager run the payroll for the furloughed staff and sort out our claim. The rules are a bit complicated because preschool is part government funded and partly fees funded. I am vice chair of the Trustees and met with our preschool manager and the finance manager, it was quite a treat to interact with other people, of course at appropriate distance.
