Lazy Bones...

This is Bella May's not very posh day bed. She lies there nearly all day after her long morning walkies - unless Baxter, the black cocker spaniel from across the way comes out, then they have a bit of rough and tumble in Sarah's garden next door, or if Harry and Archie are out playing, they let her in to join them. Then she comes back for a snooze.
The piece of decking wood is there because I've been trying to get her to roll her ball down it. She knows what I want her to do but she will absolutely not do it, just like she will not fetch her collar in the morning. She has a stubborn streak and yet she does other things straightaway when told to - like wipe your paws, look out of the window, look over the wall, turn round (when she's being vacuumed!) go and find Dad.
She's the most loving dog and loves to be stroked and hugged.
This morning I got up and went downstairs and made myself a coffee because Frank hadn't brought me one, he'd been up since 4.30am! He was playing his guitar and forgot about me gasping for my cuppa! Anyway, after giving him 'the look' (see extra) I took it back to bed to read the paper. Not long afterwards he appeared with a plate of toast for me! 'The Look' worked!
I think I only ever had breakfast in bed when the kids were small and brought me it on Mother's Day once or twice.
I managed to make one mask today! What a faff! The pattern turned out too big so I had to alter it and adjust the pattern for the others I want to make. Now the pattern is the right size it's easy. I don't know if we'll need them but best to be prepared and anyway, it kept me occupied. I'm going to try a different pattern tomorrow as well. Once I've decided which is the best I'll share the link.
Sad news today. Diane's (S-i-L) mum died in hospital after being in for just a week. She went in with suspected Corona virus but after a few days was diagnosed with lymphoma and a blood clot in her lung - hence the cough. She went downhill quickly. The sad thing is that family couldn't be with her. They said a lovely volunteer lady sat with her till the end.
The family weren't prepared for her sudden demise and are trying to come to terms with losing her so quickly.
It's been a really sunny day today but that cold wind persists.
So I've been mainly indoors. I think you all know by now how much I hate being out in the wind! I don't mind listening to it howl when I'm indoors though.
Nearly bed and book time.
Look after yourselves amd stay safe ;-) X
