An unusual outing

Decided it would be nice to take the kids for a walk somewhere other than Rectory Park - since lockdown they’ve only been out our back gate and straight into the park (except for out our front door to bring the milk bottles in, or to clap the NHS...).

So, as we’d been asked to pop by Uncle Bryn’s home for Easter eggs, we decided to go chat to him from the end of his drive and then go somewhere near his for a walk (and walk for longer than we’d driven to get there)...

What I didn’t bargain for was that my kids seem to have totally lost the habit of going anywhere! And so both had melt downs in the run up to getting out the door! I think going back to school, whenever that is allowed - is going to be a right ordeal!

Anyhow, having got them out into the car, finally, they proceeded to much enjoy the outing. In fact, I’ll put an extra of Zion’s face on being told we’d been out long enough and needed to head home...
