Moonrise

A nice mild Sunday today, the wind was fairly strong but the weather was warm and a bit humid, which feels great for us as we don't get many humid days. Would have been an excellent day to dry some washing if I hadn't been too lazy to do any :0)
Coming home from visiting a friend in the neighbourhood across the highway I caught sight of the most amazing, huge, orange moon rising up from the East...raced to the house, grabbed the camera...it comes up so fast it was already nowhere near as good when I got back outside...and of course, no tripod meant I was stuck trying to get a shot with the tree stump as my tripod. This was not the awesome giant moon shot I was hoping for...oh well, the moon will rise again another day :0)
