Visitors to Auntie's Tree

Dear Diary,

It seems like a few more birds are coming by now and two spent some time in Auntie's Tree.  One, the very prevalent Robin, is more often seen on the ground than in a tree.  He/she spent a great deal of time hopping from branch to branch, checking things out.  I was hoping that maybe he was considering Auntie's Tree as a nest location.  That would be wonderful.  The other visitor is much rarer, a Pine Siskin.  He also spent some time just sitting and singing and that was such a treat.  People are remarking about the lack of birds and the "squirrel apocalypse" we are experiencing.  Very unsettling.

DAY EIGHTEEN:
Being curious is one way of engaging with the world. When you’re curious, you’re eager to learn, to understand, to delve deeper – either with the world or with yourself. It’s a form of active listening and it makes you feel better than judging.
For today, let’s look and become curious and interested in whatever you encounter. Notice when your mind is making value judgments. How does that limit your experience and especially your enjoyment? How could you bring more curiosity to the situation?
Yesterday's chance encounter.
