Cross section of a field
...looking into the sun. W and I walked through Digges Valley this evening, a beautiful place off the beaten track. It was crisp and sunny. At times it was almost completely quiet, which happens so rarely. But there was still the occasional jet, an owl, a flock of red-wing blackbirds, and some comical sounding wild turkeys. W took time to count rings in a tree stump while I stalked photos. He got up to 220. He took quite a few photos too, as he and colleagues are sharing some during their Zoom meetings.
Still enjoying Sherlock in the evenings, with daughter I. joining us. She got out her old Sherlock Holmes volume afterwards.
