Lockdown project

I missed out on my days workshop learning how to carve a spoon from a lump of wood.  I gave my family a day on Mothers Day weekend but sadly it was cancelled or should l say postponed.  I decided that l would give it a go regardless and look what's happened!!  My first spoon!!!  We cut down a getting-too-large-too-close-to-the-house juniper and we saved some of the trunk pieces.. this is the result of using a small piece!!  I am so excited!! I wanted to leave parts of it showing the angles of the knife cuts and other bits l have sanded down to be shiny and smooth.  I am as pleased as punch although l know there are better spoons to be made!
I have just oiled it and will have to sand and oil it a few more times l think..
