Am l not

Am I not a lucky girl.. a beautifully hand crafted Japanese knife to add to my kitchen!!  It is so terrifyingly sharp ... I cannot wait to make some thin slices of something.. cucumber sandwiches perhaps!!!?  it is made of two types of steel the little tracery line marks where the types change and produce a knife that can be sharpened to a fine edge.  It's been a gentle day pottering.. hearing a few glimpses of things that happened from his trip and l am looking forward to seeing the photos when he gets around to putting them on something better than the phone.
