Scout Hall
Another new walk today, the lockdown is providing opportunities to explore footpaths I otherwise wouldn't...always a positive to be found!
Today's walk took in Scout Hall situated on the slopes of the Shibden Valley. It was built in the 16th century and is said to have 52 doors and 365 panes of glass in it's hay day.
It remained empty and in a state of disrepair for many years before being put on the market in 2010. It was for sale for £350,000...and is now slowly starting to be restored. I imagine it could become quite the spectacular home...if you ignore all the talk of ghosts and legends that surround the ancient building!!
