The Trient Glacier shining before the cloud...
... boiled over the edges of the mountains and hid it for the rest of the day (check it out large). From our house you can see right up the Rhone Valley to the mountains in front of Mont Blanc, but you rarely see them this clearly, The approaching weather front, announced by the lenticular clouds above the glacier, must have reflected more light onto the new snow up there. I hope that this year's significant snow has topped up its snow reserves so it's retreat is not increased this year. Like so many places in the world, glaciers are melting because of global warming.
