See what a morning

Happy Easter!

In true "its a special day" form, she was up early. She did play in her room a while though before we went and did Easter hunt things. We normally go to the sunrise service on the pasture but obviously couldn't do that. We did though decide to take our walk early to see the final minutes of sunrise. We stopped to easter egg a friends garden on the way before a gorgeous time watching the baby bunnies, charging up and down the banks and running all over until she was hungry enough to go home.

Food breakfast, bassoon breakfast and then Easter Day online service. Communion from home was weird but still special. The children had their easter party. I had sent Easter packs to all the children so they had chocolate hunts, crafts, stories. They then had a zoom time together to share snack "with" each other, watch a video and just enjoy time together before the main church big zoom catch up.

After church, I had a helping errand to run so she watched friends and made her own lunch. When I got home, we watched Fantastic Beasts again. She spent ages in the garden setting up an Easter hunt for me. She was absolutely cracking up at the fact she'd put things inside the washing that was on the line. There was racing bunnies, more chocolate. Some piano. A tasty tea, with an Easter movie. She then jumped in the bath so I could cut her hair (see extra, so cute!) while we finished the movie. I had some time in the garden and she did a great rep practise.

She wobbled this morning, and parts of this afternoon she just looked really sad. People are a huge part of how we mark special occasions and there weren't any. Just like all the other special days we've already "missed". But, I really hope that there were enough memories to make it feel special still.
