Happy Easter!
I'm amazed by how creative some people have been at creating activities for children without actually having them engage with each other. One family made 40+ of these cardboard eggs then went around the neighbourhood hanging them on lampposts, the challenge was to find them all. Another decorated their house and garden with eggs and bunnies and asked people to count them.
I had fun checking things out on my walk today. On the way into D'mains, somebody had gone up a lot of trouble chalking out a long jump challenge, see extra and the street round the corner has a chalked obstacle course to follow.
It is Easter Sunday today and it was so strange not to be in church and stranger still not to see the family. That did give me a bit of a wobble, I do miss them all and having them so close but out of reach somehow makes it even harder.
I took part in an online Dawn service and a main Easter Sunday service.
I'd sent the needful for our annual Easter egg hunt to Kathryn, way back in early March when I realised that the current situation was looking likely. Katy sent me pictures this morning, apparently she managed to keep the girls in until 7.45, they'd wanted to get out there at 6.30. The extra shows Isobel racing to get going.
I did some more gardening today, planted some alpines and re-fixed the mesh I'd taken down to allow me to paint the fence yesterday.
The weather was lovely all day, then at about 4.30 it changed completely, got cold, a fierce wind blow up and the sun disappeared.
We had a delicious roast lamb dinner with some home made mint jelly which was made in October 2018, a particularly good batch if I say so myself.
Keep well everybody, thank you for dropping by and leaving a comment, I do appreciate them.
HAPPY EASTER this one is certainly different.
