time for the second and later Camellia to flourish (the whole bush is in the extra)..... this variety is very hardy and the bush is about four times the size of Anticipation even though they are the same age...... the flowers are completely different too Donation having a more open single style with veining and light pink petals...have included the blousy Anticipation flower in a bowl of water for comparison....both thrive here because of acid clay soil and wet summers and autumn essential for bud growth....if you are on chalky or limey ground probably stick to pot grown or add lots of ericaceous compost
