Green
After walking over to drop off the kids' Easter eggs I headed out onto the moor for a change of scene.
I disturbed this Green Hairstreak as soon as I'd reached Plain Side. Indeed if I've not taken a diversion to distance myself from someone coming down the path toward me I might have missed it. It's not quite the earliest I've seen (that would be April 9, 2017 - in almost the same spot) but early enough. I walked the length of Plain Side and it was the only one I saw, along with several Peacock and Small Tortoiseshell.
And the Skylark and Willow Warbler were in full song.
