Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 151 -

As I ran on the beach this morning I was thinking of the 1.5 million victims of the Holocaust. Thoughts all the sharper for having been in Krakow last week. Somehow, this family, taking advantage of a break in the milder rainy weather, and playing freely on the sands, is an appropriate memorial to all those families who were so cruelly robbed of their right to enjoy such simple pleasure.
