Birthday Surprise! (Lockdown week 3)

It's not my birthday, it's Amelia's and she is 8 years old.
Her mum and dad had played it down over the last few days making out birthdays would be difficult this year due to Corona virus. John said to her, 'But there's always next year darlin'.'
'Yes, Daddy. Don't worry. It'll be better next year.'
She is so accepting! 
Anyway what a surprise she got this morning with the living room all decorated with bunting and balloons, and then all her presents and her favourite breakfast of waffles and strawberries.
This is the first time I've not been at her birthday but I made a cake and we'll celebrate on Zoom this afternoon.

We also got a nice surprise as Amelia and Lucy sent us pictures they made for us. And in the envelope from Amelia was 7 pence! A gift from her - she'd done it off her own bat. Bless! Can you still get penny mixtures? :-D
