What do you call a man with a bird on his head?

Left the house at 8.30 this morning, arrived at the Housel Bay Hotel on the LIzard at 5.30pm this afternoon. Took it steady, 4 breaks...lots of coffee (including a lovely gingerbread latte from Costa).

No traumas on the journey. My poor brother has done it on his bike from London - equally as long journey.

I have NO signal on my mobile phone, but I have wireless connection as the wireless hub is right outside our bedroom door!

Dad and I have spent much of the evening taking photos - the hotel is awesome, and made even more spectacular by its setting - on the cliff top, looking over the sea and a lovely little cove, with the Lizard lighthouse sat atop the next cliff along. When I get home I will upload the others from tonight. We spent an hour outside as the sun was going down and the way the light changed was beautiful.

Staying here will make it easier to bear tomorrow.

I now am going to sleep after a lovely meal, where James impressed me no end by eating a plate full of fresh saltfish fishcakes, without any comment about the herbs included in it!

Sharing a room with James....he does the stinkiest farts in the world...oh joy!
