2020 Tuesday — Say it with Flowers
Today a big box was delivered and placed at our front door. We knew immediately we had received flowers. The cardboard announced in pretty green ink, “Fresh Flowers — Open Immediately!” and the simple word “tulips” with a dot and a com.
Mr. Fun asked, “Do you want me to open it for you?” “Sure!” I responded. Inside we found two bundles of purple tulips. The gift card came with this message: “In Loving Memory of Max,” but not a clue as to who sent them.
Then Mr. Fun guessed it; a Blipper friend! A special person we’ve never met but have had fun blipping with since early 2009, sent these flowers. She had read our announcement about Max dog. Thank you dear friend! Flowers have a way of expressing any emotion — sorrow, appreciation, love.
During this season of isolation, silence, and sadness we’ve been encouraged by the displays of kindness we have had the privilege of witnessing . . . “Faith, Hope, and Love” seem to be encoring!
Good night from SoCal
where it has rained all day,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
