"she wore a raspberry beret"
Guess what I'm going to attempt to make for the first time tomorrow??!
An unexpected and apparently unintended wake up call at 2.30am this morning actually led to another lazy Saturday which was just as well seeing as next weekend I'm Liverpool bound to be reunited with Jayney!
Met up with a girl from home for coffee this afternoon to talk to her about jaw surgery as she is due to go through a lower jaw break this summer. As an upper jaw break patient it was lovely to share my experience with her as I had no one to talk to when I had my surgery, and as it turned out, I was able to put her mind at ease and make her a bit more excited about the whole thing! The same team of surgeons are going to work with her as worked on me so I have no doubts that she will be more than pleased with the final result! :) They are 4 very talented men who actually perform miracles, and for me, in 2 hours on the 20th July 2012, my surgeon Mr Pierse gave me the confidence that I have always lacked by giving me a smile that I could only ever dare to dream about! I hope that Tori will feel the same when her treatment comes to an end. :)
O, getting a bit emotional thinking about it all again!
Anyway, the answer to what I'm going to be attempting to make tomorrow....Cranachan - a Scottish dessert as part of our Burns Supper tomorrow afternoon! Wish me luck! How difficult can it be?!
