Brougham Castle

It really warmed up today. Windy though.
Lots of bits and bobs, a bit of sorting in the garden, seed sowing, front window washed, and nettle, carrot and lemon cake made (extra) ... with very grateful thanks to ceridwen ... https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2691951494810304576 ... it’s scrumptious. Late afternoon I got on the bike for a pootle towards town ... I was curious to check out if I could cycle from Eamont Bridge to the Skirsgill depot and find any little routes to take me back up to the dual carriageway...there aren’t but I did discover a pele tower I didn’t know existed, now a home, and very different to the other old pele towers locally. I headed on and round by Brougham and back home again to make some wild garlic pesto for tea.
