Why?

The council had put in these posts presumably before putting fencing up.
But why? There is a grass bank topped by shrubbery and trees with no shortcut.
Waste of time and money!

This is only the second walk I have taken since lockdown and took SWMBO as she was complaining that she was beginning to look like Casper The Friendly Ghost (if the dickheads  - mainly down south - don't stop demonstrating their utter stupidity and stop gather in crowds - then it might end up being the last walk).
Things are beginning to sprout and you can tell that the schoolkids are being kept at home because all the daffs are still there and upright.
I tried to get a shot of backlit catkins - but all I got was this.

On the way home we waved to Bag's and family and ended up having a short conversation from the end of the drive. Apart from Squirrel being in the bad books for not having tidied her room (yet again) the monsters have apparently been quite good.

Jay spent quite a while lying on my lap this morning. He wasn't happy when I picked up the camera.
Tough.
I really got the evil eye when I put an extension tube on and got up close and personal to his nose.

I can't believe that no sanctions have been taken against the Scottish Parliament's medical advisor who has had the audacity to ignore the instructions about staying at home and head off to her 2nd home with her family …….. twice!
It shows a complete lack of morality or strong leadership from both her and the First Minister.
Absolutely disgusting.
